The Huis Ten Bosch Opera Troupe (Huis Ten Bosch Kageki Dan), active primarily at Huis Ten Bosch—a theme park resort in Nagasaki Prefecture branded as "A Dreamlike Other World"—has been officially appointed as the "Nagasaki Prefecture International Tourism Welcome Ambassador" effective July 1, 2026.

The "Nagasaki Prefecture International Tourism Welcome Ambassador" designation is granted by Nagasaki Prefecture to organizations with extensive networks and strong outreach capabilities in promoting inbound tourism within the fields of culture, tourism, international exchange, local products, and sports.

Since its founding in 2013, the Huis Ten Bosch Opera Troupe—composed entirely of women—has delivered opera performances and review shows primarily at the Huis Ten Bosch Grand Opera Theater, earning enduring love and support from fans across Kyushu and throughout Japan. Recognized for its ability to convey Nagasaki's appeal to international audiences through performances both in Japan and abroad, the troupe has now been appointed to this ambassadorial role.

Together, the theme park resort "Huis Ten Bosch" and the Huis Ten Bosch Opera Troupe will continue delivering unprecedented感动 and excitement to guests, further contributing to enhancing Nagasaki's overall appeal and promoting inbound tourism from both domestic and international visitors.

Founded in July 2013 at Huis Ten Bosch under the belief that "emotion transcends borders," the Huis Ten Bosch Opera Troupe (Huis Ten Bosch Kageki Dan) has performed not only within the resort's Grand Opera Theater but also across Japan and internationally. Overseas performances have taken place in China, Thailand, Cambodia, Qatar, and Vietnam (Hanoi and Da Nang), while domestic performances have been held in Aichi, Fukuoka, Osaka, Ibaraki, and Hyogo prefectures.

The troupe presents girls' opera productions featuring female performers in both male (otokoyaku) and female (musumeyaku) roles—an art form uniquely developed in Japan. Celebrated for its imaginative casting, dynamic stage direction, and dazzling, elaborate costumes, it represents one of Japan's highest forms of entertainment. The troupe consists of diverse performance teams: "Miyabi (Blue Rose)," "Kagayaki (Shine)," "Hana (Flower)," "Rin (Heart)," "Kakeru (Wing)," and "Kanade (Happiness)."
