Osaka Evessa Selected for 2026 (Phase 2) 'B.LEAGUE × Nippon Foundation Urban Development Grant'

The 'B.LEAGUE × Nippon Foundation Urban Development Grant,' launched in 2025 with participation from Osaka Evessa, has finalized its program for this year, supporting 28 clubs nationwide with a total grant of approximately 300 million yen. Under the vision of 'Revitalizing Osaka through Basketball!', we are launching an urban development initiative centered on Nagahori Shopping Street, one of Osaka's iconic commercial districts.

This project goes beyond one-time events, aiming to create a shopping street that people want to visit every day. Leveraging Osaka Evessa's unique perspective, we will collaborate with universities, local government, and partner companies to generate everyday vibrancy in Nagahori Shopping Street and accelerate Osaka's revitalization.

About the Grant Program

Since signing a partnership agreement in January 2017, B.LEAGUE and the Nippon Foundation have co-created various social contribution initiatives under the 'B.LEAGUE Hope (B.Hope)' program, including disaster recovery support and reducing experiential disparities.

The 'B.LEAGUE × Nippon Foundation Urban Development Grant,' launched in 2025, supports club-led urban development projects that go beyond single events, encouraging teams to continuously engage local residents, municipalities, and businesses in daily, sustainable community-building activities.

For this second phase, the program introduces the new concept of 'Bringing People Together, Moving People, Growing People.' It will strongly promote: - Establishing everyday hubs using arenas, practice facilities, and vacant urban spaces (Bringing People Together) - Enhancing regional accessibility and circulation (Moving People) - Developing next-generation talent (Growing People)
