This shop offers eight different flavors of 'Potato Salad Gelato,' which looks like real gelato but tastes like potato salad. You can enjoy the different colors and flavors of each variety. This year, a new 'Potato Salad Gelato Parfait' has been introduced, which features dairy products from 'Farm Hoshino (*1)' and allows you to enjoy multiple potato salads at once. In this vibrant space filled with colorful potatoes and gelato, you can enjoy the flavors and sights of autumn.

Background

Hokkaido is proud to be the top producer of potatoes in Japan (*2). There are many varieties, including those with high sugar content and those with vibrant purple and pink colors (*3). Although potatoes are familiar, we want you to discover new ways to enjoy them in terms of both taste and appearance. That's why we started offering 'Potato Salad Gelato' at this resort in 2019.

We offer 8 types based on 'Danshaku potato,' 'Inka no Mezame,' 'Kitaakari,' 'May Queen,' 'Shadow Queen,' and 'Northern Ruby.' Although they are all potatoes, each variety has different flavors, textures, and colors, so we have prepared toppings that suit each one. For example, we pair Danshaku potato, which has a fluffy texture and natural sweetness, with salmon or ikura. We also pair Inka no Mezame, which has a strong sweetness, with azuki beans to create a sweet sensation. We recommend trying them side by side, from rice-based to sweet-based, from standard to unexpected flavors. You can also enjoy the colorful colors of Shadow Queen and Northern Ruby. Further enhanced with the lightness of yogurt from Farm Hoshino, this parfait is a new sensory experience that is a potato salad but tastes like a sweet. It is a luxurious parfait that allows you to enjoy multiple varieties at once.
