[Risonare Atami] Enjoy the view and the encounter of 100 kinds of canned food x 20 kinds of craft beer at the 'Kankan Beer Garden'

Risonare Atami, a resort hotel where you can enjoy a heartwarming stay in a space colored by the sky, sea, and forest, will hold the 'Kankan Beer Garden' from June 1 to August 31, 2026. This event allows you to enjoy an encounter with 100 types of canned food and 20 types of craft beer while gazing at a spectacular view. The space of 'Sorano Beach Books & Cafe', located on the top floor of the hotel, will be colored with decorations inspired by canned food, and 100 types of canned food will be lined up. This year, we are newly offering a plate where you can enjoy combining ingredients and sauces to your liking. Along with 20 types of craft beer, including Risonare Atami's original, it is an event where you can experience the charm of canned food and craft beer, which are specialties of Shizuoka Prefecture.

Background

Shizuoka Prefecture has long been active in sake brewing utilizing its abundant water, and because it was an environment where brewing technology easily developed, craft beer culture has spread in recent years. Currently, there are over 30 breweries in the prefecture, boasting one of the highest numbers of breweries nationwide. In addition, Shizuoka Prefecture has many canned food factories, particularly accounting for 98% of the national production of canned tuna, ranking 1st nationwide (*). At Risonare Atami, we have been holding this event since 2019 with the desire for guests to enjoy these two cultures that Shizuoka Prefecture boasts, along with the spectacular view of Atami. This year, with the theme of 'Encounter', we have expanded the content as an event to come across your favorite tastes and pairings.

Features of the 'Kankan Beer Garden'

At Sorano Beach Books & Cafe, overlooking Sagami Bay and the city of Atami, circular shelves with a can motif and refreshing colored decorations make a new appearance. The shelves will feature 100 types of canned food that go well with beer, made mainly in Shizuoka Prefecture, ranging from seafood like canned tuna to unusual items like oden. In this open space, you can freely pick up the canned goods and look for your favorite.
