[Photos & Comments] Musical 'Mary Poppins' Finally Opens! Playing in Tokyo until Saturday, May 9th <Shibuya Tokyu Theatre Orb>

That magical world descends from the sky once again. The musical 'Mary Poppins,' which has been performed twice in Japan and continues to vividly remain in the hearts of many audiences, held a public dress rehearsal where three scenes were showcased in anticipation of its grand opening.

Scenes Performed

1) Cherry Tree Lane, Part 1
Nannies keep quitting, and the children, Jane and Michael, are out of control. George Banks is meticulous and puts work first, while Winifred Banks struggles to manage the household. This scene comically yet somewhat sadly depicts the disarray of the family. It's the opening song of the story, showing what kind of place Mary Poppins will make of the Banks' home when she first arrives.
