On May 8, 2026, the social welfare corporation Kizuna-kai served as the instructor for training sessions on "Preventing Inappropriate Childcare" and "Mental Health" hosted by Nozomi Nursery School.

The training was open to both Nozomi staff and external childcare professionals in the community, with 26 participants in attendance.

The sessions emphasized that preventing inappropriate childcare is not just an individual issue, but a collective effort that requires team awareness and mutual support. Participants also addressed the physical and mental stress inherent in nursery work, engaging in group discussions to deepen their practical understanding of staff self-care.

The training attracted a diverse group, from junior staff to veterans. Mr. Kawana, the Board Chair and instructor, noted, "Rather than judging specific situations as simply good or bad, we were able to share fundamental concepts that prioritize children's human rights and physical/mental safety."

Founded in 1974, Nozomi Nursery School has over 50 years of history rooted in the local community. Guided by the philosophy of "Coexistence, Co-education, and Co-prosperity," it serves as a hub for local childcare support.

Additional training sessions are scheduled for June 4, September 10, and November 6, 2026, with rotating topics. Interested professionals are encouraged to attend.
