Panasonic Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., a group company of Panasonic HVAC & CC Co., Ltd. that handles the supply, purification, and regeneration of air, water, soil, and energy, will launch the "Energy-Saving Constant Temperature and Humidity Unit" on July 6, 2026. This new addition to its constant temperature and humidity unit lineup achieves approximately 44% reduction in power consumption (Note 1).

Constant temperature and humidity units are indoor units that precisely control temperature and humidity, primarily used in institutions such as hospitals, companies, and universities for applications like plant cultivation and testing of pharmaceuticals, food, and precision equipment. These units operate continuously during testing periods to maintain set temperature and humidity levels. Compared to general air conditioning equipment, they consume significant amounts of electricity, and in recent years, with rising electricity prices, the demand for reducing running costs has increased.

The "Energy-Saving Constant Temperature and Humidity Unit" to be launched this time achieves approximately 44% reduction in power consumption (Note 1) under environmental conditions of 23°C and 50% set temperature by controlling the refrigerator, heater, and humidifier in conjunction and optimizing output according to the load. It can control temperatures in the range of 15 to 35°C and humidity from 40 to 85%, ensuring operational accuracy of ±2°C for temperature and ±10% for humidity (Note 2). It meets the environmental conditions required in various fields such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, research and development, and electronics/precision equipment.

Through the widespread adoption of this unit, Panasonic Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. aims to support energy cost reduction and sustainable environmental maintenance in research institutions, contributing to the realization of carbon neutrality.
