Panasonic Corporation's Electric Works Company (hereinafter referred to as Panasonic Electric Works) held a Demo Day for its accelerator program, "Panasonic Accelerator by Electric Works Company," on March 18, 2026.
Panasonic Electric Works has identified the Well-being and Energy Management sectors as growth areas, focusing on creating new businesses by enhancing the value of spaces, equipment, energy, and people.
Through this program, the company has collaborated with startups to define specific business themes in these areas and has promoted verification and validation with an eye toward social implementation and commercialization.
In fiscal year 2025, 10 startups were selected to work on the verification of co-creation themes aimed at commercialization. At the Demo Day, each company presented their verification results and future business development plans. Following an evaluation, outstanding co-creation themes were awarded. These themes are scheduled to move to the next phase, involving additional verification and business feasibility studies.
President's Comment
Kiyoshi Otaki, President of Panasonic Electric Works, stated:
"I am very pleased that this program has reached its fifth year and is gaining recognition both inside and outside the company. Next fiscal year, we will establish a new business consortium to further strengthen three functions: creating new value and solutions, verifying hypotheses from a customer perspective, and building a co-creation foundation. By combining the spontaneous challenges of our employees with the power of startups, we will connect these initiatives to social implementation and support the creation of new businesses across the entire company to contribute to society."
