Seven-colored Monchhichi expressed with glazes, including traditional Mashiko glazes Mashiko ware is a traditional craft produced in and around Mashiko Town, Haga District, Tochigi Prefecture.

Now, Monchhichi small plates featuring the popular character 'Monchhichi', loved by a wide range of generations since its birth in 1974, are appearing from the Mashiko ware pottery brand 'MASHICO'.

The face of Monchhichi is expressed across the entire surface of the warm-textured Mashiko ware small plate.

By carefully applying glaze one by one by Mashiko craftsmen, using four colors from traditional Mashiko glazes—amber (ameyu), black (kuroyu), white (nukajiroyu), light blue (seijiyu)—and adding three colors—yellow, pink, and mint green—seven colorful Monchhichi are vividly expressed.

Each MASHICO Monchhichi small plate series has a unique and warm texture.
