(Hitachi) will build a new AI development platform to innovate the learning, verification, and deployment processes of AI (driving support AI) installed in autonomous vehicles. This move aims to accelerate vehicle intelligence in the era of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), ensuring safe and comfortable mobility through AI.

With the arrival of the SDV era, automakers face the common and complex challenge of continuously evolving their AI. Astemo and Hitachi believe it is essential to provide a stable AI development platform that incorporates safety philosophy from the design stage, autonomously evolves the development process, and can be used across the industry in the future.

By combining Astemo's strengths in vehicle integrated control and AI technology with Hitachi's digital twin environments, technologies for managing and anonymizing personal data, and capabilities in the social implementation of Physical AI, the companies will build this advanced development environment by the end of fiscal 2026. This platform integrates an AI infrastructure, a data infrastructure, and a data center.
