HIKE Inc. has announced that the stage play "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" Part 3 - Demon Lord Awakening Arc & Eight Heavenly Stars Arc - will be performed in October 2026. This production is the third stage adaptation based on the immensely popular web novel, which has been adapted into a manga under the complete supervision of the original author, "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" (by Fuse, Taiki Kawakami, and Mitz Vah, serialized in Kodansha's "Monthly Shonen Sirius"). Naohiro Ise will return as scriptwriter and director, following the first and second productions (Demon Lord Attack Arc & Human-Monster Exchange Arc). In this installment, which dives into the Demon Lord Awakening Arc and the Eight Heavenly Stars Arc, Hana Ogi (≠ME) will reprise her role as the protagonist Rimuru Tempest, who reincarnates into another world as a slime and befriends various races. New cast members include Futa Sakayori as Diablo, one of the seven original demons in the world; Takuya Masunaga as Veldora, the calamitous dragon Rimuru first encounters upon reincarnation; and Mai Takahashi (≒JOY) as Hinata Sakaguchi, the chief knight of the Holy Empire of Lubelius's Imperial Guard and commander of the Western Holy Church's Knights.
