One of Japan's Largest Dog Pools to Open at Yokosuka's Soleil no Oka for a 4-Day Summer Event in a 6,000 m² Pond

Hibiya-Kadan, Ltd., which manages Nagai Uminote Park Soleil no Oka in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa, will hold a special dog-friendly event, 'SOLEIL DOG LAGOON ~2026 SUMMER~,' on July 4-5 and August 29-30, 2026.

This event transforms the park's expansive 6,000 m² wading pond area, usually off-limits to dogs, into a massive dog run and pool. Due to the great success of its debut last year, the event has been extended from two to four days this year.

The pool's shallow depth, ranging from 5cm to 30cm, ensures a safe environment for dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to large, even those not accustomed to water. The surrounding lawn area can also be used as a dog run.

To accommodate the summer heat, special 'MORNING' tickets for early access from 7:30 AM and discounted 'TWILIGHT' tickets for entry after 4:00 PM will be sold. During twilight hours, guests can enjoy the pool and run amidst a magical, illuminated landscape.

During the event, kitchen cars will offer food and drinks, and a dog market will sell pet-related goods. Additionally, some attractions normally unavailable to pets, such as the Ferris wheel and GOGO Carts, will be specially opened to them.

All tickets are sold exclusively online, with no on-site sales. Prices are ¥3,600 for a FULL DAY TICKET (9:30 AM-8:00 PM), ¥2,400 for a MORNING TICKET (7:30 AM-9:00 AM), and ¥2,800 for a TWILIGHT TICKET (4:00 PM-8:00 PM). One ticket admits a group of up to three (a combination of people and dogs).
