Commencing Demonstration Experiment of "Companion Detection Alert Function" Utilizing Facial Recognition System At the Rental Apartment "Gioent Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi", a Demonstration Experiment will be conducted for approximately two months starting Monday, March 30th.

Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp. announces that it will commence a demonstration experiment of the "Companion Detection Alert Function*" utilizing a facial recognition system at the rental apartment "Gioent Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi" (Takamatsu-cho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture) for approximately two months starting Monday, March 30th. This demonstration experiment is designed to immediately detect when a person without facial recognition registration attempts to enter the building along with a resident who is unlocking the auto-lock at the entrance. The system will then issue an alert at the entrance, notifying the entering resident. This aims to enhance the apartment's security by prompting the resident to be aware and take measures, such as yielding to the person if a stranger is following them, or positioning themselves near the emergency button in the elevator. Based on the results of this demonstration experiment, we will verify the effectiveness of companion deterrence, continue research as a security enhancement measure for apartments, and strive to provide a safer and more secure living environment. Furthermore, in collaboration with management and security companies, we will consider its introduction into apartments that we develop in the future.
