【Summary of President's Address at the Entrance Ceremony】
Introduction
Congratulations to all 67 new employees who joined us today. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and welcome to all of you whom I have the pleasure of meeting at this entrance ceremony today.
Our Surrounding Environment
The international logistics industry is constantly affected by changes in the external environment. One such change is how many shippers view logistics, especially inventory, after the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the impact of changes in US tariff policies on logistics is immeasurable. If the world moves towards protectionism, the total volume of logistics will decrease. Recently, tensions in the Middle East have escalated due to US attacks on Iran, leading to disruptions in logistics networks. Our overseas staff and national staff in our global network are working under such conditions. The world in which we provide services and receive compensation is undergoing such changes.
What is needed in such a business environment is sufficient experience and the collective wisdom of employees who have experienced it. Our company has a track record of expanding international logistics for 78 years as a pioneer in air transport business in Japan, and this serves as a genetic predisposition to confront challenges when they arise. What is further required is an attitude of challenging change and emerging victorious. To achieve this, it is crucial to have employees who can quickly and accurately collect and analyze information and act immediately, as well as an organization that can maximize its agility. Waiting for instructions or orders will not lead to victory. Utilizing data obtained from our core system, which connects the entire world with One Data, to prepare strategies and swiftly deliver services that surpass competitors will be our weapon.
What I Ask of You
In promoting this direction, young energy and new perspectives will serve as antennae and driving forces. I want you to always maintain a healthy spirit of reform and to keep in mind that you will be part of creating a culture that is not afraid of change and embraces challenges.
Our three action standards: "Professional," "Pioneer," and "Passion," are your guidelines when you are unsure how to act.
In particular, "Pioneer" symbolizes a strong will to challenge without being bound by precedent, a spirit deeply rooted in our company's history. Customers entrust their logistics operations to us, who are logistics professionals. While it is natural for us to be professionals, it is only by providing a service and quality one step above that we become true professionals, and that is why we advocate "Professional."
I want you to grow into employees with a spirit of reform and pioneering. To that end, first acquire solid knowledge and experience, earnestly tackle the tasks given to you, and value the attitude of seeing things through to the end. There can be no growth without a solid foundation. It is important to approach the tasks in front of you with "Passion."
Finally, please report to those who have supported you, your parents, and your families, with gratitude, that you have taken your first step as a member of society today. I sincerely pray that your future life as a working adult will be brilliant both personally and professionally, and with that, I conclude my congratulatory address.
