Heiwa Real Estate Co., Ltd. announced that the office section of "SAPPORO ONE," a mixed-use building under development as part of the "Odori Nishi 4-minami District Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project" in central Sapporo, has achieved LEED Gold pre-certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's "LEED® BD+C: Core and Shell" category.

In its mid-term management plan, "WAY 2040 Stage 1," the company emphasizes "promoting sustainable urban development" as a core growth strategy. The project incorporates energy-efficient systems, renewable energy, and water conservation measures to minimize environmental impact.

LEED® is an international certification system for building and urban environmental performance. The "BD+C: Core and Shell" category focuses on new construction or major renovations, evaluating projects across nine categories, including location, water efficiency, energy optimization, material resources, and indoor air quality. Certification levels are categorized into Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Certified. Pre-certification is granted during the planning or construction phase, with final certification awarded after post-completion review.
