【Story】

Will Yuto become a disciple of a National Treasure-level rakugo storyteller!?

Uncovering murder suspicions through undercover investigation!

Yuto (Mizutani Yutaka) and Kaoru (Terawaki Yasufumi) approach a famous rakugo master's family through separate routes. At the request of journalist Nonomiya Keiko (Hosokawa Naomi), a friend of Miwako (Suzuki Sawa), they secretly begin reinvestigating a case where a death sentence has already been confirmed. The case in question occurred about 15 years ago, when Tano-i (Sugahara Takuma), a former disciple who had been expelled, allegedly murdered Otoko (Maeda Shunsuke), the son of rakugo master Takizawa Seiryu (Katokichi). Tano-i was charged with robbery-murder and received a death sentence from the Supreme Court five years ago. However, while Tano-i admits to breaking in, he denies committing murder. If this is a wrongful conviction, suspicion shifts to Seiryu and others who lived in the mansion at the time — including his wife Misa (Achiba Satoru), daughter Seiran (Shuhama Harumi), and disciple Goryu (Aoyagi Takaya).
