(1) Mountain Day Exclusive: Free Admission for Children in Yukata

Children aged 4 to elementary school students wearing yukata or jinbei who visit between 10:00 and 12:00 will receive free admission.

Visitors arriving between 9:00 and 12:00 will receive a 10% discount coupon for use at the on-site "Mori no Cafe (※1)" (valid only on the day of issue).

Highlights During Obon

SIKI Garden – Path of Sound

Enjoy observing and photographing plants and insects in the soft morning light. The chirping of cicadas like Higurashi adds to the summer atmosphere. From Saturday, July 25 to Monday, August 31, 2026, wind chimes will be displayed to enhance the garden’s refreshing ambiance.

＜About SIKI Garden＞

Located within the facility, SIKI Garden is a naturalistic garden designed in harmony with Rokko Mountain’s ecosystem. Visitors can enjoy around 300 species of seasonal trees and flowers. Due to temperatures being approximately 5°C lower than in urban areas, blooming periods are delayed by about one month. Benches under tree shade and treehouses are recommended spots to enjoy the natural coolness during summer.

Morning Preparation of Automatic Musical Instruments

Between 9:00 and 10:00, visitors can observe the tuning of automatic violins and other concert preparations. This offers a unique opportunity to see the instruments in a different state than during regular operation.

Music Box Assembly Experience

Choose your melody, case, and course (Basic or Advanced) to create your own custom music box. Simultaneously, visitors can also experience making instruments like tambourines and castanets. During summer vacation, additional time slots will be available. Worksheets for summer research projects are also provided.

Music Box Theater: Yayoi Kusama's "The Dog Who Wanted Friends"

To commemorate the permanent exhibition of Yayoi Kusama’s "Peace Head," the picture book "The Dog Who Wanted Friends" (illustrations and text by Yayoi Kusama, published by Magazine House, 1999) will be projected on screen, accompanied by antique music box melodies and narration.
