Hankyu Travel International and Chitose City Sign Disaster Cooperation Agreement

Hankyu Travel International Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; President and Representative Director Toyoji Yamakawa) signed a disaster agreement with Chitose City, Hokkaido (Mayor Ryuichi Yokota) on April 28, 2026. The purpose of this agreement is to provide rapid and smooth disaster response and facilitate recovery in the event of an earthquake or other disasters within the Chitose City area, upon request from the city. Both parties will work together closely to provide prompt support activities.

Hankyu Travel has been strengthening its crisis management initiatives through the activities of DHAT (Disaster Hankyu Assistance Team), which was launched in April 2024 to provide emergency support during municipal disasters, and is promoting disaster prevention measures in collaboration with local communities.

The details of the agreement are as follows:

(1) Matters regarding the opening and operation of designated evacuation centers and welfare evacuation centers, etc.
(2) Matters regarding the procurement of accommodation facilities and transport vehicles, etc.
(3) Matters regarding the procurement of personnel, goods, and equipment, etc.
(4) Matters regarding emergency call centers.
(5) Matters regarding the procurement of personnel and equipment necessary for the opening and operation of disaster volunteer centers.
(6) Other matters deemed necessary through consultation.

Chitose City is the 'Gateway to Hokkaido,' hosting New Chitose Airport, while also being a core city in the central Hokkaido region with a rich natural environment, including Shikotsu-Toya National Park (Lake Shikotsu), harmonizing excellent transportation access and living convenience with nature.

Through the signing of this agreement, Hankyu Travel will further strengthen its partnership with Chitose City and strive to contribute to the sustainable development of Chitose City, which is blessed with attractive tourism resources.
