The Japan Handball Association (JHA), a public interest incorporated foundation, will hold a press conference on Tuesday, July 7, to announce the members of Japan's men's and women's national handball teams competing at the 20th Asian Games, to be held this September.

On the day of Tanabata, the women's national team "ORIHIME JAPAN" and the men's national team "SUISEI JAPAN" will reveal their respective Asian Games rosters. The new uniforms to be worn at the Asian Games will also be unveiled simultaneously.

The press conference will be live streamed on YouTube starting at 14:00 on the day. The viewing link will be announced later on the JHA's official website and social media channels.

The 20th Asian Games, Asia's largest sporting event, will be held from Saturday, September 19, 2026, to Sunday, October 4, 2026, centered in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City. Handball competitions will take place at the "Entrio: Toyoda Gosei Memorial Gymnasium" in Inazawa City, Aichi Prefecture, and the "Kasugai City General Gymnasium" in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture.

Men's and Women's National Teams' Road to the Asian Games

SUISEI JAPAN (Men's National Team)

The men's national team "SUISEI JAPAN" held its first training camp of the year in May to further strengthen player depth.

From August 31, the team will begin its pre-tournament training camp at the Ajinomoto National Training Center (NTC), proceeding directly into the Asian Games. The men's opening match is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, with the final set for Tuesday, September 29.

ORIHIME JAPAN (Women's National Team)

The women's national team "ORIHIME JAPAN" conducted an overseas training tour in Denmark in April, fielding a mixed squad of overseas-based, domestic, and university players, gaining valuable experience against high-level international competition.

Additionally, the team will hold its first domestic training camp at the Ajinomoto NTC from July 7 to 14, reassemble on September 11, and enter a final preparation camp before the Asian Games. The women's preliminary round begins on Monday, September 21, with the final scheduled for Sunday, September 27.

General Ticket Sales Start Tomorrow at 17:00!

Starting Tuesday, June 30, at 17:00, general ticket sales for the Asian Games will begin via the official ticketing website. Handball event tickets will go on sale at this time and will be available for all designated match days.
