We are pleased to announce the results of the third day, Saturday, March 28, of the 21st Spring National Junior High School Handball Championship, which opened in Himi City, Toyama Prefecture, on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
The third day of the tournament featured the third round (8 matches each for boys and girls) and the quarter-finals (4 matches each for boys and girls).
The matches were increasingly intense, as teams combined the fruits of their daily hard work with the confidence gained from winning through fierce battles on the big stage.
In the boys' division, HC Kyoto (Kyoto), which defeated the three-time defending champion Saijo Junior High School (Toyama), along with Aira Sports Club (Kagoshima), Ryukyu Corazon U-15 (Okinawa), and GHR (Gunma) advanced to the semi-finals. In the girls' division, Kakujo Junior High School (Kumamoto), aiming for their second consecutive title, along with Kawasaki Ikuta Handball (Kanagawa), HC Kyoto, and HC Haruyoshi Jr. (Fukuoka) secured their spots in the semi-finals.
Tomorrow, Sunday the 29th, is the final day of the tournament, featuring the semi-finals and finals. Please stay tuned for the intense battle for the championship.
