To resolve these issues, Marui decided to implement the AI-OCR software "AnyForm OCR." AnyForm OCR accurately reads slips scanned by multifunction devices or received via fax, automatically recognizing and digitizing necessary data fields. The confirmation screen for recognition results employs an efficient mechanism allowing users to correct errors using a keyboard. It also enables accurate processing even for less experienced staff by allowing them to refer to past order history and registered data on the spot. Additionally, it supports input error prevention through master data linkage, and the confirmed/corrected data is output in a format that facilitates integration with downstream systems. With the implementation of AnyForm OCR, Marui expects to reduce the workload for slip data entry, which was previously done manually, by approximately 100 hours per month. This is anticipated to provide strong support not only for cost reduction but also for addressing labor shortages and standardizing operations.
