Hakuhodo Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kenji Nagura) and the Institute of Science Tokyo (Tokyo Tech; Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; President: Naoto Ohtake) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the cultivation of 'Visionary & Execution Talent.' This initiative aims to develop individuals who can conceive a 'Good Future' based on high-level expertise and mobilize society by sharing that vision with global stakeholders.
The partnership integrates Tokyo Tech's 'Visionary Initiatives (VI),' a research framework introduced in April 2025, with Hakuhodo's 'Future Insight' expertise. As a first step, a co-creation program was conducted from November 2025 to March 2026 with IHI Corporation as a partner. Twenty-one members from IHI, Tokyo Tech, and Hakuhodo participated in developing 'AI-Powered Resilient Society 2050,' a vision for a future society utilizing AI as infrastructure. The results have been published as 'Future Insight Resonance Report #2.'
As society faces unpredictable challenges, there is a demand for talent capable of envisioning non-linear future scenarios. Tokyo Tech aims to build an ecosystem for innovation that involves diverse stakeholders. Hakuhodo, with over 25 years of experience in scenario planning, uses its unique methodology to identify signs of future change. By combining these strengths, the two organizations aim to train powerful leaders who can design future visions and technical roadmaps.
