Establishment and Launch of "H-Ai Partner Program" to Realize Total Solutions for Edge AI with 12 Leading Companies Involved in Edge AI

Hagiwara Techno Solutions Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Takaoka KANAME Building, 2-28-23 Izumi, Higashi-ku, Nagoya; President and Executive Officer: Chisato Kashima) is promoting its "H-Ai Solution," a one-stop development service for edge AI products.

We are pleased to announce that as an initiative to strengthen the activities of this solution, we have established and will commence activities for the "H-Ai Partner Program" in collaboration with 12 domestic companies. Furthermore, the details of this partner program and demonstrations by participating companies will be exhibited at Japan IT Week's "29th Embedded & Edge & IoT Development EXPO Spring," to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Wednesday, April 8th to Friday, April 10th.

(1) About H-Ai Solution

In Japan's manufacturing industry, a shortage of approximately 2.6 million on-site workers is predicted by 2040 due to a decline in the working population caused by the declining birthrate and aging society*. Against this backdrop, the advancement and automation of production sites using AI and robots have become urgent issues. However, manufacturing sites lack personnel with AI skills, and significant hurdles still exist for AI implementation. The "H-Ai Solution" is a service that provides one-stop support for AI implementation to address these challenges.

In addition to the Hagiwara Electric Group's "AI model development technology," "AI implementation technology," "AI platform technology," and "ODM (mass production consignment) service," we provide total solutions for resolving customer issues through collaboration with various partners.

(2) About the H-Ai Partner Program

Use cases for edge AI in the manufacturing industry include "object recognition used for defective product detection," "anomaly detection to identify abnormalities in manufacturing equipment," and "predictive maintenance to prevent breakdowns." Furthermore, with the expansion of robot adoption, there is an increasing demand for advanced AI functions such as autonomous decision-making.

Since these AI functions are executed within the control of various factory equipment and machinery, it is necessary to optimize "AI processing (use case)," "sensors," and "hardware (platforms)" according to the application. This optimization requires knowledge in each domain, the ability to combine diverse technologies, and integration technology.

Our "H-Ai Solution" aims to expand edge AI solutions by classifying them into four categories: "AI applications," "sensors," "hardware," and "integration," and promoting collaboration with companies with a proven track record in each field. In addition, each partner will operate in two classes, "Premium Class" and "Basic Class," depending on the content of their collaboration.
