Cosplay Festival 'Ultra acosta!2026' with 20,000 Participants to be Held in Ikebukuro from 9/4-6

Hacosta Inc. (Head office: Osaka City, Representative Director: Yoshihiro Matsumura) announces that it will hold 'Ultra acosta!2026,' a super-expanded version of the cosplay event acosta!, for three days from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Ikebukuro Sunshine City.

'acosta!' is one of Japan's largest cosplay events, where you can take photos and have fun, held nationwide with Ikebukuro as its center, attracting over 300,000 attendees annually.

'Ultra acosta!', now in its 5th iteration, is a super-expanded version of 'acosta!' held at Ikebukuro Sunshine City. Its 4th event in July 2025 attracted 20,000 visitors over three days.

This event, held over three days from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, will feature photo sessions and interactions by cosplayers and photographers at venues such as Exhibition Halls A (2, 3), B, C, and D within Sunshine City, as well as stage events at Fountain Plaza. On Friday, September 4, as 'All-Night Ultra acosta!' from 10 PM to 5 AM the next morning, visitors can enjoy the event in Sunshine City late at night, a time when it is usually inaccessible. Furthermore, on Saturday, September 5, it has been decided to hold 'acosta! Marche,' a doujinshi sales event and flea market specializing in cosplay, and many popular cosplayers are scheduled to participate. Other plans will be announced at a later date.
