Hakuhodo Products Launches "Remote Work for Women Academy" in Akune City, Kagoshima Prefecture, in Collaboration with PERSOL TEMPSTAFF, to Create Employment for Women

Hakuhodo Products Inc. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Masakazu Hashimoto), a company that implements customerization touchpoints, in collaboration with Akune City, Kagoshima Prefecture, and PERSOL TEMPSTAFF CO., LTD., will launch the "Remote Work for Women Academy." This academy will utilize "Remote Tasker," an online outsourcing service provided by PERSOL TEMPSTAFF, to create employment opportunities for women in the region.

Akune City, which has a comprehensive partnership agreement with Hakuhodo Products for regional revitalization, faces the urgent challenge of accelerating population decline, particularly the excessive outmigration of young women. Based on the current situation and future projections, it is designated as a "disappearing municipality" (*1). Many of the women who move out are a crucial demographic supporting the future local community, and their outflow directly leads to a decline in the total fertility rate, significantly impacting the population structure. While the reasons for moving out vary, including higher education, employment, and spouse's job transfers, one factor is the lack of career development opportunities after life events such as marriage and childbirth. By providing employment opportunities that are not bound by time and location to women who wish to work according to their family and lifestyle, it is expected to lead to the realization of diverse work styles in rural areas and the suppression of population decline and outmigration of young women.

"Remote Work for Women Academy" is a program that comprehensively supports women with employment motivation, from acquiring practical office skills (business etiquette, PC operation, etc.) to engaging in work provided by PERSOL TEMPSTAFF. Reskilling to employment is supported entirely remotely.

Hakuhodo Products will continue to promote regional revitalization initiatives, such as providing services that enable people to "live in rural areas and work for companies in the Tokyo metropolitan area," thereby helping to solve challenges faced by many local governments, such as curbing population outflow and increasing the number of migrants.
