The product brand "goyemon" will open "goyemon OSAKA," its largest directly managed store ever, in Shinsaibashi, Osaka on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Since the brand's establishment in 2018, goyemon has been developing products where tradition and innovation coexist, such as "unda," which fuses traditional Japanese setta (sandals) with sneakers.

Until now, the directly managed store was relocated from "goyemon KURAMAE" in Kuramae, Tokyo to Shibuya, and is currently operated as a single store, "goyemon SHIBUYA." This new opening will be the brand's first base in the Kansai region.

At the recent Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, "unda" created by goyemon was adopted as the official uniform for the Japan Pavilion, positioning the brand to play a part in it. Considering this cultural and contemporary context, Shinsaibashi, Osaka was selected as the new communication hub.

"goyemon OSAKA" is the brand's largest store in history, consisting of an open space of approximately 150 square meters with a 4-meter high ceiling. It was born as a place where you can experience the concepts and stories behind the products.

In this space, the elements that have been valued in Japanese space creation are deconstructed once and reconstructed from a modern perspective.
This approach is the foundational thinking of goyemon, which has been consistent in their product development up to now.

In the center of the store, a circular mirror with a diameter of 2.1 meters, which is the biggest feature, is placed. It captures passing landscapes and establishes them as a composition within the room, dropping the philosophy of "shakkei" (borrowed scenery) into the space.

On the walls, a shoe wall reminiscent of a sneaker shop is deployed. Traditional setta footwear is displayed in a modern context.

Beyond the glass facing the street, an 8-meter long "noren" (curtain) is installed. Based on the Japanese cultural background that odd numbers are considered lucky, the "noren" is tailored with 9 widths. Together with the gravel spread on the floor, it softly switches the boundary between the inside and outside.

Furthermore, by placing a 1.8-meter square tatami fixture (equivalent to 2 tatami mats) and a stone object made of 3 stacked stones, elements of Japanese spatial composition are scattered throughout.

These elements are not mere decorations but are designed so that one can sense their inherent charm and cultural background.
The entire space is structured so that visitors can experience it while going back and forth between traditional Japanese and modern sensibilities.

In addition, the store plans to offer limited items that can only be purchased by visitors. Along with exclusive products and novelties only available here, we will enhance the value of the store visit experience itself by offering pre-sales of the new "unda" and limited-quantity products.

The limited shopper bag is a "thief" spec furoshiki (wrapping cloth).

At goyemon OSAKA, products will be handed over wrapped in a furoshiki.

Osaka is said to be the place where the legendary great thief, Ishikawa Goemon, once had his hideout.
We infused respect for that story into the shopper.

The motif is the "karakusa" (arabesque) pattern, known as a symbol of thieves. We adopted an original design with the alphabet letters of "goyemon" scattered within the pattern.

A furoshiki is a tool whose purpose and shape change depending on how it is wrapped, despite being a single piece of cloth. It is designed to be used continuously afterward, rather than just taken home as a souvenir.

Prepared in limited quantities for customers making a purchase of 10,000 yen (tax included) or more.

A special limited edition "unda" for this store will also be available.

On the opening day, the goyemon OSAKA limited setta x sneaker "unda" will also make its appearance.
Based on the coloring of the standard model, a tiger-patterned jacquard fabric is adopted for the thong (hanao).
The footbed uses a Kyoto-made fabric woven with nylon threads. It is resistant to rubbing and highly durable.
Equipped with a thin HOVER sole, it is a pair that emphasizes the expression of the tiger pattern while retaining the appearance of setta.

Pre-sales of the new "unda" model will also be released simultaneously.
