As announced by B.LEAGUE, the Ryukyu Golden Kings have been selected as a recipient club for the 2026 fiscal year (Phase 2) of the 'B.LEAGUE × Japan Foundation Town Development Grant,' a joint initiative by B.LEAGUE and the Nippon Foundation.
Under this grant program, 28 clubs nationwide have been selected. The Kings' project, titled 'Regional Network Formation Based at the Arena,' will use their home venue, the Okinawa Suntory Arena, as a central hub. Through experiential programs targeting all 37 neighborhood associations in Okinawa City, the initiative aims to strengthen connections among residents and local communities, fostering a sustainable regional network with a focus on disaster preparedness.
The project will be implemented in collaboration with Okinawa Arena Co., which operates the Okinawa Suntory Arena, as well as local government bodies and community members.
Moving forward, the Kings will continue their mission of 'Making Okinawa More Vibrant!' by leveraging the power of sports to build community ties and carry out regional contribution activities centered around the arena.
