Seahorses Mikawa's Yudai Nishida Reports Season Results to Kariya Mayor, Vows to Reach the Top in 2026-27

On Thursday, May 21, President Yasuhiro Terabe, Team Director Kenichi Sako, and #19 Yudai Nishida visited Kariya Mayor Takehiro Inagaki to report on the 2025-26 season and share their enthusiasm for the 2026-27 season. During the visit, they expressed gratitude for the support from the Nishi-Mikawa region, which enabled the team to reach the championship for the third consecutive year and host a home championship game for the first time in eight years, and reported on this season's performance, including the runner-up finish in the Emperor's Cup. Mayor Inagaki offered words of appreciation and encouragement for the club and players' performance this season, expressing his hope that they will 'aim for the top next season.' He also touched upon Yudai Nishida's activities with the Japan national team, stating, 'Having a player who excels as a national team representative is a source of pride for the club and the region.' During the conversation, topics included the new 'B.PREMIER' league starting in the 2026-27 season and next season's regulations, such as changes to on-the-court rules, and they exchanged opinions on the development of Japanese players and the growth of the league. In a friendly atmosphere throughout, they shared their expectations for next season and their passion for regional revitalization through sports.
