JCB Co., Ltd. Background of the Partnership
JCB has been expanding its local cardholder base in ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines through partnerships with local financial institutions, with a particular focus on the affluent segment.
Mitsubishi Corporation invested in Fullerton Health in August 2025, leveraging its business expertise in the healthcare sector, global network, and comprehensive capabilities including DX promotion, to improve the quality of medical care and optimize medical costs in Southeast Asia. Fullerton Health is a leading company in the managed care industry in the ASEAN region, which continues to grow against the backdrop of a expanding healthcare market and the need for corporations and private medical insurance companies to control medical costs. It operates in nine countries, primarily in Southeast Asia.
This strategic partnership was realized as the goals of JCB—aiming to differentiate its brand services and expand its cardholder base in the ASEAN region—aligned with those of Mitsubishi Corporation and Fullerton Health, who seek to strengthen their customer base in the same region.
Key Areas of Collaboration
1. Realization of high-value healthcare services for individual customers by leveraging each company's strengths.
