Boutique Hotel to Open in 'Koenji Pal Shopping Street' on May 29, 2026

Glider Associates announced the opening of 'craft hotel antenna SHINJUKU KOENJI,' a premium two-room boutique hotel located in the Koenji Pal Shopping Street arcade in Tokyo, on Friday, May 29, 2026. Ahead of the opening, the company will begin accepting accommodation reservations on its official website starting Monday, May 25, 2026.

Located a five-minute walk from Koenji Station, the hotel features only two rooms. Koenji is known for its unique concentration of vintage clothing stores, izakayas, live music venues, and classic coffee shops. The hotel offers a unique experience of 'staying in a shopping street,' aiming to immerse guests in the local daily culture rather than just visiting tourist spots.

The two rooms, each occupying an entire floor, span approximately 55 square meters. The 3rd-floor room can accommodate 6 guests, while the 4th-floor room can accommodate 8, for a total capacity of 14 people. Each unit is equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, bathtub, and projector, encouraging a 'living-like travel' style.

Following a 'separate lodging and dining' model, the hotel encourages guests to dine at local restaurants and purchase ingredients from local supermarkets or liquor shops. By promoting local dining and nightlife, the hotel aims to drive regional consumption and increase foot traffic. The project serves as a proof-of-concept for a small-scale, locally contributed tourism model that can be expanded to other regions in the future.
