Geechs Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Toshito Sonehara; hereinafter "Geechs") will host a free seminar for IT engineers and development organization managers titled "What an IT Architect Needs in the AI Era, According to a CEO: Thinking Methods for Discussing Technology from a Business Perspective" on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 19:30 to 21:00.
Background of the Seminar Geechs regularly conducts seminars for IT engineers and IT recruitment managers. For this session, we have invited Shinobu Mikami, CEO of Bayfront Architect LLC, to speak on the theme of "The IT Architect in the AI Era." As the role of engineers is redefined by the spread of AI, Mr. Mikami will discuss "technology selection with a business perspective" and "thinking methods to be chosen by CTOs and management," going beyond mere implementation skills, while incorporating real-world examples from large-scale projects such as smart cities.
We invite all engineers looking to increase their market value to participate, including those who want to learn an IT architect mindset to become high-end engineers, those who want to know the definitive differences between junior and senior engineers in the AI era and the realistic evaluation criteria of management, and those who want to be involved in architecture design and technology selection using multi-cloud and the latest AI tools.
In an age where development automation is advancing, the importance of "architects" who can translate technology into business value is increasing. Through this seminar, we aim to help participants gain clarity on how to become an "engineer of choice" who cannot be replaced by AI and provide hints for carving out their next-generation careers.
