CS broadcaster "GAORA SPORTS" will air a special interview program on July 9 (Thu) featuring Ran Takahashi and Dmitry Muserskiy, who were teammates on the Suntory Sunbirds Osaka in the domestic volleyball top league "Daido Life SV League."

The men's Japan national volleyball team is currently on a winning streak, including a perfect record in the Nations League (as of July 6), and Ran Takahashi is a key player.

Ran Takahashi, the young ace, joined Suntory Sunbirds Osaka when the SV League was launched in 2024 and has been leading the league. Dmitry Muserskiy, a 218cm tall world-class powerhouse, led the Russian national team to a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics and then supported the advancement of Japanese men's volleyball for eight years as a member of Suntory.

Ran Takahashi will leave the team after the 2025-26 season, and Muserskiy will retire from active play with regret, both bidding farewell to the team. However, a miraculous interview was realized in front of the GAORA SPORTS cameras after the season ended.

In the program, the two, who fought through two intense seasons together, will deeply discuss what they want to ask each other now and their future plans. During the conversation, Takahashi directly asked the Olympic champion Muserskiy, "How can Japan win a medal?" To this, Muserskiy gave his full endorsement, saying, "The current Japan national team has everything it needs to win a gold medal. They are truly strong," and sent a powerful message of support to the future of Japanese volleyball.

During the talk, personal questions beyond volleyball were also exchanged. When asked about his future by Muserskiy, Takahashi shyly smiled and said, "My family is very close, so when I have a family in the future, I want to be a soccer mom (cheerleader) for my children."
