Author Biography

Jiro (Shisonnu)

Born in 1978 in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. Graduated from the junior college division of Kansai Gaidai University. In 2006, formed the comedy duo 'Shisonnu' with Hasegawa Shinobu, his classmate from NSC. Won 'King of Conte' in 2014. Known for characters like an old man speaking Tsugaru dialect and middle-aged women in comedy sketches. Also active as an actor and screenwriter. Published works include the diary-style novels 'Gut-rinsing with Sweet Sake' and 'Jiro Shisonnu's Self-Discovery' under the pen name 'Kawashima Yoshiko'.
