Futaba Corporation has added a new origin switching function to its 'Plate Builder' simple design and procurement service. This allows users to easily change the origin point to match their drawings, streamlining the input of machining positions and improving customer convenience.

Futaba Corporation (Headquarters: Mobara, Chiba; hereafter 'the Company') has added a new function to 'Plate Builder,' a simple plate design and procurement service available on its 'Futaba Order Site,' an e-commerce platform for production equipment.

[New Feature] Origin Switching Function

We have added a function that allows you to select the origin from five points—the four corners and the center of the plate—with a single click, and outputs dimension lines based on the set origin. This makes it easy to input machining positions, as you can switch the origin to match your existing drawings.

You can set the origin that is easiest for inputting each type of machining content before entering the machining positions. It is also possible to change the origin even after some machining details have been entered.

※Even when re-quoting from drawings you have previously quoted or ordered, you can switch the origin with a single click to get a new quote.

Additionally, you can check the drawing based on the last set origin on the preview screen from your order and quote history. (※This also applies to the downloadable PDF files, which are available only for ordered items.)

'Plate Builder' is a service on the Futaba Order Site that allows users to specify additional machining on a designated six-sided metal plate using only a mouse and clicks on a 2D drawing in a browser.
