For five days from Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10 [from 8:00 AM to 8:50 AM], Fukuoka University is holding a "Breakfast Campaign" at its "First Cafeteria" targeting its students.
The "Breakfast Campaign" is an initiative planned by the student organization "Student Insurance Department" and allows students to eat breakfast for 100 yen per meal.
Planned with the aim of promoting student health, it calls for the importance of a balanced diet, and is an initiative that leads to the improvement of irregular eating habits and the reduction of economic burdens due to rising prices.
Providing warm meals, conversations with friends are lively.
The First Cafeteria, the venue, saw students, including club members who had finished their morning practice and students before classes, visiting one after another and gathering around warm breakfasts.
Students who used the service commented, "By having a nutritious breakfast with friends, my daily rhythm seems to be getting back on track. Since the menu changes daily, I want to use it every day," and "Even though I live alone, it's a great help to be able to eat a warm breakfast for 100 yen. Eating breakfast seems to sharpen my mind and allow me to concentrate better in class."
100-yen breakfast served with a daily changing menu. Many news organizations also covered the event.
