Fuji TV Announces LIVE Streaming of 'Badminton Daihatsu Japan Open 2026' Semifinals and Finals on FOD Premium

FOD Premium, the video-on-demand service operated by Fuji TV, has announced the LIVE streaming of the semifinals and finals of the international badminton tournament 'Badminton Daihatsu Japan Open 2026' on July 18 (Saturday) and 19 (Sunday).

The world's top-level competition returns to Japan once again this year.

The 'Badminton Daihatsu Japan Open 2026' is an international tournament ranked as 'Super750'—the second-highest grade in the HSBC BWF World Tour—and holds the highest grade among tournaments held in Japan. The world's top players will gather for high-level matches.

Japan's representatives include Akane Yamaguchi and Tomoka Miyazaki in women's singles, Arisa Igarashi and Chiharu Shida in women's doubles, and Kodai Naraoka in men's singles—all top players active on the global stage. Last year, Japanese players reached the semifinals in all categories but failed to advance to the finals, ending in disappointment. This year, Japan's top-tier athletes will aim for their long-awaited championship title on this elite global stage.
