Hakone Kowakien Yunessun (located at 1297 Ninohira, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture; Manager: Motonobu Matsuyama; hereinafter 'Yunessun'), which celebrated its 25th anniversary on New Year's Day 2026, will hold the limited-time cherry blossom-themed event 'Hanami Onsen 2026' starting Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Spring means cherry blossoms. Long beloved as Japan's iconic flower, cherry blossoms captivate people both at home and abroad year after year with a beauty that never grows old. With that spirit, Yunessun is hosting an event to celebrate the arrival of spring under a cherry blossom theme.

The ever-popular seasonal bath 'Duck Hanaikada Bath' returns this year to the indoor 'Turkish Hammam' area! Soft cherry-pink lanterns glow from the ceiling, while approximately 3,000 adorable rubber ducks float on the water's surface. Surrounded by ducks that evoke a carpet of drifting flower petals, guests can enjoy a photogenic bath experience unique to Yunessun.

Meanwhile, in the outdoor area, Somei Yoshino cherry trees will be in full bloom throughout the grounds. Guests can enjoy hanami (cherry blossom viewing) while soaking in the hot springs and pools in their swimwear on warm spring days. Smartphones and cameras are permitted inside Yunessun (swimwear area), and the 25th Anniversary Project 'Yunessun NICO NICO Photo Contest' is also underway. Snap a spring-atmosphere photo at your favorite hanami spot in the facility and share it on social media!

Additionally, the official hotels 'Hakone Hotel Kowakien' and 'Hakone Kowakien Ten-Yu' are offering seasonal limited cocktails to celebrate the arrival of spring. Day-trip guests are also welcome, so please stop by before heading home or during your hanami outing.
