Miyanozan Ropeway, operated by Fujikyu Group's Miyanozan Tozan Railway Co., Ltd. (Minami-Koma District, Yamanashi Prefecture), will hold the "Yamanashi, Shizuoka, Nagano Residents Appreciation Campaign" from July 18, 2026 (Sat) to September 13, 2026 (Sun) to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the Panorama View Gondola. During this period, residents of Yamanashi, Shizuoka, and Nagano Prefectures can enjoy special round-trip fares.

During the campaign period, round-trip fares for junior high school students and older will be discounted from the regular 1,700 yen to 1,500 yen, and fares for children aged 4 to elementary school students will be discounted from the regular 850 yen to 425 yen. Additionally, on August 23 (Sun), the 5th anniversary of the Panorama View Gondola's opening, it will be "5th Anniversary of Opening Appreciation Day," and all customers, regardless of their prefecture of residence, can ride at these same special fares.

In the summit area, you can also enjoy the "Giant Letter Monument" where you can take photos with Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps in the background. It is a new photo spot where you can capture memories of your visit to Miyanozan Ropeway along with the magnificent views.

Miyanozan Ropeway is located behind Kuonji Temple, the head temple of the Nichiren sect, and is a 1,665m ropeway that connects "Kuonji Station" at the foot of the mountain to "Okunoin Station" at the summit in about 7 minutes. At the top, with an altitude difference of 763m, the highest in the Kanto region, a 360-degree panorama unfolds, offering views of Mt. Fuji, the Southern Alps, the Yatsugatake mountain range, and Suruga Bay.

The Panorama View Gondola, introduced in February 2021, features large glass windows that extend close to your feet, offering a sense of openness as if you are floating in the air. In addition to the natural scenery that changes with the seasons, the eastern observation deck at the summit offers views depicted in Katsushika Hokusai's ukiyo-e print "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji: Fujimigawa Ura Fuji," making it a popular spot to experience history and culture.
