■ Photo Exhibition Overview
Fujifilm Square will host "~NANOOK Polar Bears: A Quiet Story of the Ice Field~" by Michio Hoshino, a photographer who continuously captured the harsh yet beautiful nature of the far north, the animals inhabiting it, and the people living there.
The vast land of the far north covered in snow and ice. The polar bear, which indigenous people reverently call "Nanook" for its strength and high intelligence. Under the vast sky that changes dramatically with the sunlight, the exhibition focuses on the lives and existence of polar bear families living in the ice field.
The polar bears photographed by Hoshino always have gentle expressions.
The exhibition will introduce a collection of Hoshino's polar bear works all at once, including a panoramic camera discovered at his Alaska home in 2022, the film left inside it, and previously unreleased works.
We hope you will enjoy viewing the polar bears living in the extreme cold of nature and reflect on the importance of animals and the environment.
