Our company endorses April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day to announce dreams. This press release represents the dream of "Frontier Japan Co., Ltd."
Background
Trees on familiar street corners, trees in parks cherished since childhood. And the symbol trees of school buildings that have quietly watched over the conversations and growth of many students for decades.
There are moments when we must inevitably part with trees, such as during school building renovations or unavoidable felling for safety reasons. However, it is truly sad for a tree that has accompanied someone's heart and carved history together to be disposed of as mere "waste" the moment its role ends.
We don't want cut trees to be the "end"—.
While the importance of environmental protection is being advocated nowadays, we want to transform it from an obligation into a "joy." We want to reincarnate the precious memories residing in those trees into new forms, such as commemorative items that connect the memories of school days, or warm objects that juniors can interact with again. In this way, we aim to connect the precious memories nurtured by towns and schools to future smiles.

Past Initiatives
As a "story companion" who envisions the future of "trees that have fulfilled their role" and breathes new life into them.
For many years, as a product manufacturer working with domestic timber, we have given shape to the possibilities that wood holds. In doing so, we faced the reality that many "trees that had to be cut" were forced to choose the path of "disposal" without finding their next destination.
To solve this problem, we have established a unique system that takes responsibility for all processes, from pre-felling surveys, transportation, and milling, to design and processing. This initiative involves identifying the different tree species and conditions of each individual tree and transforming them into "one-of-a-kind products" that leverage their unique characteristics.
Until now, together with many companies, administrations, and school corporations, we have transformed trees that would otherwise have been lost into important commemorative items that convey environmental aspirations, and communication tools that connect communities. We go beyond mere reuse (upcycling) by collaborating with local sawmills and artisans, thereby protecting the local economy and culture as well. We have been steadily expanding such a "warm cycle centered on wood."

Future Initiatives
A suitable place for every tree. Towards a broader, deeper journey of circulation.
Our dream has just begun.
Moving forward, we aim to collaborate with even more designers and woodworking manufacturers to deliver "precious memories" in a wider variety of forms, such as furniture like tables and chairs that blend into daily life, and toys that allow children to experience the warmth of wood.
Furthermore, we will advance research to transform materials that were previously difficult to utilize, such as "worm-eaten timber" and "thin branches," into valuable resources using the latest technology and ideas.
No matter how small or damaged a tree may be, we want to respect the time it has carved and find a role that will surely bring smiles to someone. By making it commonplace for people living in cities to use and cherish "trees from their own town," we aim to create a society where the future of the Earth and people's hearts are richly intertwined.
