FP Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; Chairman: Morimasa Sato; hereinafter 'FPCO') and Shizutetsu Store Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shizuoka City; President: Toshimi Morishita; hereinafter 'Shizutetsu Store') have announced an 'Eco-Store Collaboration Declaration' to protect the global environment and resources. They will jointly promote 'Store-to-Store' horizontal recycling across all 36 Shizutetsu Store locations.
1. Initiative Overview FPCO and Shizutetsu Store collect used food trays and transparent containers through collection boxes at stores. The collected resources are transformed into 'Eco-Products' through FPCO's 'Tray-to-Tray' process and reused at Shizutetsu Store, achieving a circular horizontal recycling model. By creating an environment where local residents can easily participate in recycling, both companies aim to reduce waste and achieve a sustainable society.
2. Performance Results In the fiscal year ending March 2025, Shizutetsu Store collected 165 tons of used food trays. Additionally, through the active use of 'Eco-Trays' and other eco-friendly products, they contributed to a CO2 emission reduction of 268 tons.
3. Future Plans FPCO and Shizutetsu Store aim to reduce annual CO2 emissions by 300 tons by the fiscal year ending March 2030 by expanding the use of eco-friendly products.
4. Activities to Share the Initiative To communicate their recycling efforts to local residents and children, the companies conduct guest lessons at elementary schools and participate in regional events. In November 2025, they donated the educational manga 'The Secret of Food Trays' to all 81 elementary schools in Shizuoka City. They will continue to provide opportunities for the community to deepen their understanding of the environment and recycling.
