[Erimo Town, Hokkaido] Pilot project launched for 'unmanned reception' at Hyakunin-hama Auto Campsite

FoundingBase, a company co-creating community development projects with 25 municipalities across Japan, has launched a pilot project for an 'unmanned reception system' at the 'Hyakunin-hama Auto Campsite' (Erimo Town, Hokkaido), which it manages under contract. The initiative aims to digitize reception operations to achieve both labor savings and revenue maximization.

This effort seeks to build a new regional management model that improves efficiency through DX in local facility operations struggling with labor shortages, while redistributing resources to improve customer experience and marketing activities.

Currently, many local public facilities are plagued by analog operations, and Hyakunin-hama Auto Campsite has also faced challenges where staff time was consumed by reception and facility explanations, leaving fewer resources for enhancing appeal or tourism promotion measures. This pilot project tests self-check-in and automated plot guidance for users, the avoidance of double-booking through data integration with the 'Napp' booking site, and efficiency gains through the digitization of facility information into videos.

FoundingBase plans to use the results of this project as a model case to contribute to solving labor shortages and tourism DX issues faced by municipalities nationwide.
