[Opening June 1, 2026] "Kamiyoga no Ie" to be established

Social Welfare Corporation Foryoukai (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Board Chair: Hiroshi Katori) will open "Special Nursing Home Kamiyoga no Ie" and "Yukkuri Nursing Small-Scale Multi-Functional Care Kamiyoga" in Kamiyoga, Setagaya Ward, on Monday, June 1, 2026. This facility is a new welfare hub that provides integrated nursing, medical, and daily support services to the community, combining a community-based special nursing home with small-scale multi-functional in-home nursing care. Currently, the facility is accepting inquiries for move-ins and service usage, as well as recruiting staff. In Setagaya Ward, regional needs for nursing, medical, and daily support are increasing due to the aging population and the rise in single-elderly households. By co-locating the special nursing home and the small-scale multi-functional care service, Kamiyoga no Ie has established a system that provides seamless facility services and home support. In addition to strengthening the collaboration between medical and nursing care, the facility will prioritize community engagement. The facility was built on the site of the former "Setagaya Ward Elderly Rest Home Fujimisou," which was long cherished by local residents. While inheriting the history of the location, it has been developed as a new hub to support elderly welfare. Moving forward, the facility aims to become a familiar place for local residents by promoting community and multi-generational interaction. Features include a community-based special nursing home (capacity 29) and small-scale multi-functional in-home nursing care (capacity 29), integrated service delivery, and a role as a regional welfare hub during disasters. The organization is currently recruiting nursing staff, care workers, and life consultants, and is accepting inquiries for facility tours and recruitment.
