This time, we are announcing the "Startup Funding Amount Ranking (April 2026)" which was released in April 2026.

Ranking of Funding Amounts Announced in April 2026

Helical Fusion, a full-stack nuclear fusion startup developing helical nuclear fusion reactors, raised 3.7 billion JPY to take the top spot.

Toggle Holdings, which provides the real estate value analysis AI cloud service "Gate.", followed in second place, raising 3.34 billion JPY.

In first place was Helical Fusion, a full-stack nuclear fusion startup developing helical nuclear fusion reactors, which raised 3.7 billion JPY.

The company aims to achieve the world's first practical fusion energy and is advancing the "Helix Program," the world's only concrete design program that satisfies all "three requirements for a commercial nuclear fusion reactor." As a spin-out venture from a national research institute, it is said to be aiming for the realization of the world's first nuclear fusion plant by fully utilizing Japan's technological capabilities while inheriting the results of decades of extensive nuclear fusion research in Japan. Going forward, under its core plan "Helix Program," it plans to steadily advance development towards integrated demonstration by the final demonstration device "Helix HARUKA" in the 2030s, and the world's first "practical power generation" by the first power generation unit "Helix KANATA."

In second place was Toggle Holdings, which provides the real estate value analysis AI cloud service "Gate.", raising 3.34 billion JPY.

"Gate." is a service that utilizes AI and big data to analyze real estate prices and profitability from multiple perspectives. By simply registering property information, it automatically generates value and profitability forecasts for up to 50 years into the future, significantly streamlining conventional manual-centric research. Its features include the ability to consistently analyze everything from price appraisals to vacancy risk, rent fluctuations, and investment yields. It has been adopted by financial institutions and real estate companies, supporting decision-making based on highly accurate data. In addition, the company offers "Tsuru Fund," a real estate investment crowdfunding service that can be started from 10,000 JPY, to realize its vision of "creating 'fun' in towns with everyone."

This funding round marked the company's first time to welcome global institutional investors.

In third place was Brave group, which conducts IP development and marketing/production support businesses, raising 3 billion JPY.

The company develops multiple businesses in a wide range of areas, including IP businesses that produce VTubers such as the next-generation Virtual esports project "Vspo!" and the virtual music label "RIOT MUSIC," which are each operated by its subsidiaries; Platform businesses such as the virtual school city "ME Campus"; and esports businesses specializing in improving game skills such as "CR Gaming School," as well as XR, DX, and Incubation businesses. The raised funds will be utilized for strengthening the IP localization system in overseas markets and marketing investments to accelerate global expansion.
