\nYutaka Mizutani, who is active in various fields as an actor, film director, and musician, will release his new song "Omoi Hatateru Made" (Until My Feelings are Fulfilled) after a 10-year hiatus, from Four Leaf Music, marking his return after 28 years. \n \nSince his musical debut on July 10, 1977, with "Harbor Light," he had a string of hits, including "Omotesando Nampa Street" in '78 and the major hit "California Connection," the theme song for the NTV drama "Netsu Chuu Jidai: Keiji Hen" in '79. However, he parted ways with Four Leaf Music after the release of "Aishiteru to Itte Kure" in 1988. \n \nAfter 28 years, it has now been decided that he will release a new song from his former label. \n \n"Omoi Hatateru Made" is his fourth stylish and energetic work as a songwriter and composer himself, following "Kokoro no Mama ni" in 1977, "Nante Yasashii Jidai" (the theme song for the TV drama "Jiken Kisha Chabo") in 1983, and "Silhouette" in 2009. \nParticipating musicians who graced this work, his first in 10 years, include Jun Abe (Key. for CASIOPEA and renowned arranger), who participated on bass, Harutoshi Ito (guitar), a cellist and guitarist, Kahori Ono, one of Japan's leading female percussionists, and an impressive horn section led by Naoya Takemura, a saxophonist active in a wide range of genres beyond jazz and pop, featuring Yoji Masago, So Gushiken, and Nobuhide Handa. \nThe arrangement was done by Yoshiki Yamato, who served as music director for Yutaka Mizutani's directorial works "Taiyo to Bolero" and "Piccola Felicità," and Koiji Morimoto served as the mixing engineer. They have perfectly captured the world view of the song that Mizutani wished to express, resulting in a powerful and danceable work that strongly conveys the new beginnings of Yutaka Mizutani as an artist. \nIn fact, this song originated from a piece created as an insert song for the film "Piccola Felicità (Little Happiness)," in which Yutaka Mizutani himself takes on five roles: planner, director, scriptwriter, producer, and lead actor. \n \nThe film "Piccola Felicità (Little Happiness)" (meaning "little happiness" in Italian), which will be released on April 24th, unfolds four stories of people standing at a crossroads in life.
