Forest Adventure Celebrates 20th Anniversary, Proposes 'Play x Learn' Model in Forests: 'Making Forests Educational Infrastructure'

Forest Adventure Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Masaki Tankuwa) has reached its 20th anniversary this year since opening its first facility, 'Forest Adventure Fuji,' in Yamanashi Prefecture in 2006. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the support of our many customers and local communities, which has allowed us to reach this point with 45 facilities nationwide.

Decreased Opportunities for Nature Interaction and the Crisis of Forests

Currently, the environment surrounding children is changing significantly. With advancing digitalization, opportunities to interact with nature are decreasing. Without the experience of touching nature and realizing its value, it becomes difficult to foster a consciousness to protect that environment in the future. Meanwhile, Japanese forests face the issue of neglected lands, and their effects, such as landslides and climate change, are also impacting our daily lives.

Against this backdrop, Forest Adventure, based on its philosophy of "Playing in the forest, utilizing the forest," has revitalized previously neglected forests into vibrant spaces where people gather and create value. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we now present a new vision for the next stage.

We will foster curiosity and self-reliance, providing a place for experiential learning that cannot be gained in classrooms for school education, and a place for human resource development and team building for corporations. Through Forest Adventure as an entry point, we will open up the forest as a field to society.

Leveraging our 20 years of operational experience primarily with tree-top activities as experiential programs, we will further evolve and expand the "Experiential Program for Fostering People and Forests" across our nationwide network of facilities.

Experiences in the forest have the power to reconsider the relationship between humans and nature and to nurture the next generation of leaders. We aim to spread this power throughout society by collaborating with educational institutions, corporations, and local communities who share our vision.

Playing in the Forest, Utilizing the Forest: Forest Adventure

Forest Adventure is a French-born "nature-symbiotic outdoor park" that maximizes the use of forests as they are. We opened our first park at the foot of Mt. Fuji in 2006, in partnership with Altus Co., Ltd. of France, and this year marks our 20th anniversary.

We operate with the highest priority on the safety of people and facilities to create an "environment where challenges can be safely undertaken." Currently, we operate unique parks tailored to the local forests in 45 locations nationwide. (As of April 2026)
