    Steven O'Connor joined Fonterra in November 2025 as Finance Director for the Global Ingredients business. With over 20 years of international leadership experience across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America, he possesses deep expertise in finance, strategy, business development, and transformation, having successfully led companies through periods of growth and change.

    Prior to joining Fonterra, he was at Ampol, Australia's largest transport energy supplier and retailer, which also owns New Zealand's Z Energy. As Regional CFO (Fuels & Infrastructure) and COO (Trading & Shipping), he led the formulation of strategy, the promotion of business growth, and the advancement of operations for the company's global energy business.

    Before that, he held senior positions in finance and sales at BlueScope and worked in the M&A division at PwC, where he was engaged in advisory services for cross-border transactions and private equity investments.
