Do As Infinity and Akina's Yamana Appear! FM Osaka 'Kodomo Terrace ~To Zero for Children~' Talk & Live Event Held to Eradicate Child Abuse!

Aiming for zero child abuse, the FM Osaka radio program 'Kodomo Terrace ~To Zero for Children~' is broadcast every Saturday from 18:30 to 19:00. A public recording talk and live event, 'FM Osaka Kodomo Terrace ~To Zero for Children~ Talk & Live ~For Zero Child Abuse~,' was held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 18:30 at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store's 9th floor 'Shusai Hiroba' (Festival Plaza). In addition to the program's DJ Yumi Otsuka and Representative Director Shinobu Ivasa of the Certified NPO 'Japan Children's Support Association,' guests Do As Infinity (Tomoko Ban, Ryo Owada) and comedy duo Akina's Fumikazu Yamana appeared. Real-life episodes unique to those with parenting experience were shared.

Initially, Representative Director Ivasa introduced the foster care system, explaining that while child abuse cases handled by child guidance centers exceed 220,000 annually, only about 2% of children can actually be protected per year. 'Many parents who abuse also experienced abuse in their own childhood. To break the chain, societal involvement is necessary, and I founded this NPO thinking, 'I will help them, not just anyone else',' he stated with conviction.

The first half featured a talk session on parenting with the two guest groups. Yamana, a father of a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old, commented on his parenting approach: 'When I'm with my children, I make my own desires 'zero.' Then, most things can be accepted and let go with a laugh.' He further emphasized the importance and gratitude for surrounding support, saying, '(Senior comedian) Kobiya-san came over and just said, 'Have some water~' in that voice, and my child listened easily (laughs). It's more effective than parents saying it,' filling the venue with laughter.

Ban, mother of a 10-year-old and an 11-year-old, shared an anecdote: 'The other day, I made shiratama dango with my children. While making each one, I said, 'Yes, cute!' and boiled them,' and stated, 'It's important to enjoy things and find them fun.' Owada, whose children are already adults, added, 'When my children were in nursery school, parents often exchanged information. Horizontal connections are truly a support,' he continued.

Yamana further humorously suggested, 'It would be great if there were a space to leave children at NGK. Being held by a legendary comedian might change a life (laughs).' He then expressed his hope: 'But ultimately, my kids are very satisfied if they can just go to the park. I hope the environment where they can touch soil and nature doesn't disappear.' Ban also said, 'At places we often go during summer vacation, the kids want to swim in the sea with their friends, so they forget their smartphones and games and get absorbed in playing outside,' sharing methods of guiding children to other enjoyable activities rather than simply prohibiting things.

In the latter half, the live performance segment featured Do As Infinity performing three songs, 'Week!', 'Red Re-born,' and '陽のあたる坂道' (Haru no Ataru Sakamichi), with acoustic guitar and vocals. As Ban's dynamic and expansive singing voice echoed, people outside the venue stopped to listen, and many attendees were captivated.
