Gunma Flower Park Plus (2471-7 Kashiwakura-machi, Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture *1) will hold its first major spring event since its renewal, "Sakura Week," from Saturday, April 11, 2026, to Sunday, April 26, 2026.

During this event, amidst a variety of cherry blossoms in full bloom—including Somei Yoshino, Yaezakura, and the nationally rare green "Gyoiko" cherry blossoms—we will offer numerous "experiential cherry blossom viewing" activities. These include workshops where you can pick your own flowers to create bouquets and a market gathering popular local Japanese confectionery shops. Furthermore, through collaboration with the nearby "Akagi Nanmen Senbonzakura," we will work together as a region to enliven spring at the southern foot of Mount Akagi.

*1 Gunma Flower Park Plus

A Gunma prefectural facility opened in 1992 that has been beloved by many residents. After a closure period starting in 2023, it reopened in October 2025 with the concept of "Enjoy! Playing with Flowers." It has been reborn as a facility where visitors can experience not just viewing, but various ways to play with flowers using all five senses.
