Ryunosuke Sato's Comments

"I have decided to transfer to Valencia CF. I am truly proud to have been developed at FC Tokyo for about 10 years, from the FC Tokyo Soccer School Advance Class, and to have played professionally for this club. The past six months, since returning to FC Tokyo after my developmental loan experience at Fagiano Okayama, have been a truly special time for me. I was able to play by channeling the support and expectations of the fans and supporters into strength, and it was the experience and confidence gained during these six months that allowed me to decide to take on the challenge of playing overseas. I am truly happy to be able to challenge the world from FC Tokyo. I also hope that my challenge will contribute, even in a small way, to the future of this club that has nurtured me since my academy days.

Playing in La Liga has been a dream of mine since I was a child. I am truly happy to be able to challenge myself on that stage. I am excited for every day that lies ahead. Thank you very much to all the managers, coaches, staff, teammates, family, and the fans and supporters who have always given me their passionate support. As a player who grew up at FC Tokyo, achieving results on the world stage is the greatest way to repay the club and everyone who supports me.
